Students need solid foundational skills, excellent instruction, and clear paths to future success. I will champion data-informed decisions, high expectations, and programs that help students build confidence in reading, math, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Students learn best when they feel safe, respected, and supported. I will prioritize school environments that protect student well-being, address concerns early, and help every child feel connected to school.
Great schools depend on great educators and staff. During my time as a paraeducator at San Miguel Elementary School, I had the opportunity to listen to and learn from teachers, staff, and administrators. I saw firsthand how much planning, teamwork, and care it takes to help students succeed every day. As a trustee, I will push for thoughtful planning that helps our schools recruit great people, strengthen school teams, and give them the resources they need to serve students well.
The School Board is entrusted to be a careful steward of public dollars. I will ask clear questions, review tradeoffs carefully, and insist on transparent communication so families and taxpayers understand district decisions.
Families should be respected partners in student success. I will invest in accessible communication, opportunities for community input, and a culture of listening across the district.
